86ops ("we," "us," or "our") operates the 86ops platform — a SaaS application for restaurant operators and their staff. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services at 86ops.com or our mobile applications.
By using 86ops, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
Your name, email address, and password (managed securely by Clerk). If you sign in via OAuth (Google, etc.), we receive your name and email from that provider.
Restaurant name, number of locations, subscription plan, and any business details you enter into the platform (vendor records, invoice data, product labels, checklist responses).
Pages visited, features used, session duration, and device/browser information. This is collected automatically via standard web analytics and server logs.
Queries you submit to the AI Kitchen Assistant and other AI-powered features. These are processed to generate responses and may be used to improve the service.
Text you submit to the restaurant inspection analysis tool (via the 86ops ChatGPT app) is sent to our AI provider to generate a structured summary and is not persisted by 86ops. It is discarded after the response is returned. Nothing is written to our database unless you take a separate, explicit action to create corrective-action tickets from the results — at that point the ticket content you approve is stored like any other maintenance ticket in your account.
If you submit our early access form, we collect your name, email, restaurant name, location count, plan interest, and any optional message you provide.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.
Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases hosted on cloud infrastructure in the United States. We apply the following safeguards:
No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@86ops.com.
86ops integrates the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices:
Handles authentication, user sessions, and OAuth sign-in. Stores email addresses and hashed credentials on your behalf.
Provides the database and storage infrastructure where your restaurant data is persisted.
Powers AI-assisted features including the Kitchen Assistant, label generation, and invoice extraction. Queries you submit may be processed by Anthropic's API.
Hosts the 86ops web application. Processes HTTP requests and may log IP addresses and request metadata.
Used to deliver transactional emails such as account notifications and early access confirmations.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes (e.g., invoicing records).
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@86ops.com. We will respond within 30 days.
86ops uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication session management (via Clerk), locale preferences, and basic analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, though this may affect functionality.
86ops is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our service, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify active users by email. Continued use of 86ops after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
